Hiring 3 New People Full-Time: Frontend, Growth & Support

We’re super excited for the coming year here at Timely and are looking for three new people to come onboard full-time and join our small team. You can work from our office in Oslo or remotely.

The Three full-time positions available:

1. Frontend Developer (Angular)

As a frontend developer, you love javascript. We use AngularJS at Timely and you should be an expert in that. Bragging rights comes when things are stable, fast and feels right. Fancy animations is secondary, but you do enjoy going that extra mile to make it enjoyable. Any experience with other Javascript frameworks is also a plus.

2. Growth Hacker / Data Analyst

We know “growth hacker” is the new buzzword, but it actually does describe what we’re looking for. As a growth hacker and data analyst, you naturally love data and you love how to find ways to improve the data.

For example, you might find out that a top-voted post on Product Hunt is much more valuable than any ad on facebook. Or that by improving the on-boarding process by 5% is a much better strategy for growth than getting more eyes on our marketing website. Words like retention, conversions, Mixpanel, A/B testing, analytics are all familiar things to you.

In addition to that, you think creatively. You’re great at finding the non-traditional ways to growth and get excited when we’re able to increase numbers in the right direction.

3. Customer Support / Social Media / Writer

You naturally love helping people and get excited when they succeed. Your English is stellar — both in written and verbal form. The first is more important. This position is varied, and entails a lot of writing. The main focus of the work is replying to customer emails. Helping our customers succeed is our number one priority. In addition to that, you’ll have calls with companies that want to learn more about Timely, have full responsibility over social media, and write newsletters and blogposts from time to time.

It’s important you have some kind of edge. It’s hard to explain, but we’re not a big corporation, we’re a startup. How we speak should reflect that. When we talk with our customers we talk like friends. We joke. When we make mistakes, we tell them we screwed up, we don’t say “we apologise for any inconvenience this might cause.”

What we expect from you

We expect you to do great work and that particular point cannot be understated. We don’t wake up in the morning to do average work, we wake up to do work we’re proud of, that we want the whole world to see. We wake up to build things that help people all around the world, every day.

This company exists because most tools out there try to do everything, but only some tools try to do one thing well. This company exist because most tools are made, but some tools are designed. We exist because most tools make problems easier, but some tools solve them. Because most tools are bought, but some tools are found. Most tools you’re told to use, but some tools you fight to use. Most tools help you, but some tools inspire you.

We make some tools, not most tools.
